Welcome to the Solarroof-Seoul Website!

As part of the project “Solar roofs on German Schools and Institutions Abroad”, a solar power system has been installed at the Goethe-Institut in Seoul, South Korea. Since the beginning of October 2006, the system, made of components from Scheuten Solar Technology GmbH and SMA Solar Technology AG, provides the Goethe-Institut with renewable energy.
The solar roof Seoul is one of the designated model-projects of the German Energy Agency (Deutsche Energie-Agentur GmbH - dena). Including this project, seven projects of this kind have already been successfully implemented throughout the world; another seven projects are in progress. The solar roof Seoul is the first project completed in South Korea and Northeast Asia.

The system and its components are introduced on the following pages. You can find  further details on the subject of solar power and the participating companies and project partners. In addition you can access data on energy yield, current output and other parameters via Sunny Portal.
